It's the weekend again! I hope you have a fun-filled couple of days to look forward to.

I'm off up to Birmingham for the beer festival and to meet up with some fellow Ab'ers. Can't wait! :)

coal delivery just mentioned, how I wish we still had a coal fire, I know the mess etc but it was so nice to come home to as a kid.At night my mum used to take a shovel full of burning coal upstairs to the bedroom little fireplace,the upstairs was always freezing cold. looking back its a wonder she did not set fire to the whole house on route, I wonder what 'ealth & safety would have made of that ? there was the odd burn in the stair carpet though and a singe smell to go with.

log fires here, hardly ever use coal, newspaper, kindling and some pine logs and up she goes, beech later on once the ash is there.

Morning all.Here we've had two consecutive mornings without rain.. Amazing! And today not as cold as was forecast. Open fires ~ we have two, but we only use them at Christmas.
