ok here i am again in this over 2 year stop smoking saga.... after taking champix for the 3rd time and turning into the bitch from beyond hell for 3 months, i started smoking the day after i stopped taking them.

Ive tried everything except chopping my hands off and eating a tube of superglue. That could maybe work but i'd probably manage to stick a cig up my nose using my feet. Anyway i really have to stop smoking as i was diagnosed with copd not long ago. So im trying e lites thingies... so far im just having a couple of cigs morning and evening and none all day just a puff on the pretend cig every hour or so.... as anyone tried them and did it work? im hoping if i can cut out the few cigs im having then just the odd 'puff' on this might stop me craving.

Also is it still harmful with the copd? I know the tar and chemicals arent there but will nicotine alone aggravate it?

Can't advise about the nicotine with your condition, but if it's safe for you, I'd recommend something like this instead of the ELites...

It packs far more of a punch than those lookylikeys, and works out cheaper in the long run as you buy 'juice' instead of cartridges.

I've been extremely successful and not had a fag since April on a version similar to that linked above.

I've also, very nerdly, joined a forum, which has helped me immensely, brilliant to tips and hints and general encouragement.

evening boo :) first... bloody well done cos it isnt easy! ta for the link but i just spent nearly 30 quid on the e lites stuff.... i think it works out at 1.99 for equivalent of 20 but ive had a 30 cartridge on for a few days now as im only having a puff every so often on it. Im determined that tomorrow morning im going straight for that instead of a real cig.

I'll take look at the forum though cos everyone around me either doesnt smoke and cant feel my agony lol or does smoke and just tells me to shurrup and have a fag

im liking them better than real cigs, they feel so clean!... every time i have a cig i feel filthy, i have to get a shower and clean my teeth lol ....i must have stunk to high heaven when i smoked loads, but even that isnt enough to make me cut the last couple out :(

I'm sucking an e-lite as I write.
I now don't smoke in the office, car or house.
Unfortunately, when we go out for a drink, being in Greece, smoking is compulsory, and if you are caught not smoking for more than an hour, they deport you.
Gone from 60 to about 15 a day - less on days when we don't go out.

I'm just about to try the VIP Ecig, several people I know have given up using these; my sister tried various e-cigs, and found these to be the best (for her). She's done very well, and says she doesn't even realise now that she's not smoking real cigs. Good luck with whatever you try :-)

now i use also a vivi nova on my ego battery from them as well

Have been using E lites for about three months and don't crave cigs. Couldn't get any this week so I bought Nicolites. Much better and cheaper and I'm using them less than I was the E lites.

Have you tried Niquitin 4mg lozenges? They worked for me.

Gness, you have to grind them up with a mortar and pestle then sprinkle them liberally into a hand rolled ciggie. Either Golden Virginia or Old Holborn will do.
