computer problems norton

yesterday my laptop just went off then when i switched it back on the screen was just black.i googled the problem on my phone and pressed f8 and the power button and it sorted it out after TWO hours.my computer is now running extremely slow plus norton says it is at risk but wont fix the problem because im not "sonar" protected.what is that

oh and to make matters worse i bought it from comet

First things first, let's get anything and everything with the name "Norton" in it off the machine. You'll need to download the uninstaller from the Symantec website.

Then, download and install Microsoft Security Essentials and let it do its initial scan.

Finally, download and run malwarebytes, following any advice it gives you.
