I have decided to boycott Amazon and Starbucks because of their aggressive UK tax avoidance schemes. I know what they are doing is not illegal but it is highly questionable morally to avoid paying tax in the country in which you earn the money. Does anyone else feel this way too?

"Morality doesnt come into it" What? So now companies are not obliged to operate in a moral or ethical fashion?

What companies are doing might be legal, but that does not mean we just have to accept it. Individuals, acting alone, can do very little to persuade a company to change its strategy - but many individual consumers, acting in concert, and...

Why would I want to do this? Waste of bloody time and all it does is shoot myself in the foot.

It's a government thing......they could choose to drop all corporation tax from operations, goods and services and put it on sales....that would be interesting to see as that would equate tax % take across all companies, no exemptions. However, I can't see that swinging its way through this Parliament - or indeed a Labour led one - too many "self-interests" would come into play.

I, like many have paid tax all their life, where are our taxes going? would it be to keep a lot of illegals that keep coming into the country pay fec all & reap the benefits I wonder.

I was recently stood in a terrific kitchen shop admiring a set of pans (that iI needed) on special offer reduced from £200+ to £150.
