Today I found among my CD collection an album by David Gray, and it got me thinking how most singers disappear after one or two albums, despite looking like they'll be in it for the long term. Others I can think of are Gabrielle, Tori Amos, Sheryl Crow, Texas, The Cranberries, Eliza Doolittle...Who else would you put in that category?

It's just about hype! Most of the artists you mentioned were waaaay over hyped in the first place.

I think there is a difference between one hit wonders and discarded artists though. Beautiful South are discarded artists. I don`t know why but I hate them. Comedy music (like Madness).
