Beso - “... birdie. You don't understand computer models. They are calibrated by attempting to match historical conditions. They do so reasonably well and are being improved all the time. However modern observations are consistently showing that all climate models are underestimating the severity. This is because all the positive feedback mechanisms have not yet been factored...”
That entire post of yours is complete nonsense. First, I do understand computer models. Very well as it so happens as I have built quiet a few over the course of my career. Your assertion that I do not understand them is false. Your arrogance displays your own ignorance.
Secondly, calibration to historic climate records is not proof in any way of accurate future prediction. Your faith in computer simulations is misguided. Even the IPCC are hesitant to place much credence on their veracity.
Finally, your assertion that the climate models have underestimated the 'severity' of observed data is pure fiction. The opposite is in fact true. They have consistently overestimated the affects on climate and are constantly being scaled back and their 'projections' played down.
In your zealotry to promote the idea that mankind's activities are a blight on this planet you have lost all sense of scale. You recently compared the effect of global warming to the The Chixilub Impact and then promptly and furiously back-pedalled away from this ludicrous comparison. Your retraction / refutation is so utterly feeble as to make you look rather silly.
