Atheists take the opportunity to catch up with family and friends. Not exactly celebrations but nice all the same.
I would much prefer a 'forced' holiday in the summer though :-)

It's perfectly possible to value Christmas without being a believer. Christmas is more than just a Christian holiday - it's become an entrenched part of our culture (albeit one with a Christian origin). Personally, I enjoy Christmas because of all the childhood associations I have with it - not because I believe in God.
