Noticing the slow response to my recent Christmas Greetings, I thought I would look through my Christmas Greetings of last year.

AOG, I think you'll find that the holiday, or time off work, is forced on many people. My partner has no choice, his company closes over Christmas.

Atheists take the opportunity to catch up with family and friends. Not exactly celebrations but nice all the same.

I would much prefer a 'forced' holiday in the summer though :-)

Do you then 'bin' those cards you receive early?

Surely it doesn't hurt to reciprocate anyone's best wishes, no matter how early they arrive?

That is if you wish to of course.
You wondered why a slow response and I told you imo, and it seems others agree too !
AOG, are you not going to reciprocate Triggerhippy's xmas best wishes?
Have a Merry Christmas AOG. I missed your previous posting.

It's perfectly possible to value Christmas without being a believer. Christmas is more than just a Christian holiday - it's become an entrenched part of our culture (albeit one with a Christian origin). Personally, I enjoy Christmas because of all the childhood associations I have with it - not because I believe in God.
