How long as he had the cough?
Is it a dry cough or productive?
What other medications is he on?
Crush 2 garlic cloves and rub the pulp into the soles of the feet. His breath will knock you down but it will do the trick.

Thanks for advice - Needawin you sent me into hyterics, I could cope with his breath but he couldn't cope with me putting stuff on his drastically tickly feet - but it IS worth a try, jd-1984 thanks, I'm sure we can work out which to try.
Mags I really think you should have answered Squad's question. However my wife and I are on lots of med and we take Covonia cough mixture and Covonia cough lozengers which are brilliant,Hope hubby gets rid before Christmas, the cold Mags not you.lol
Mags....thanks for your concern re. my questions.
I would suggest that you are not that interested.
sqad - are you still there, because I am interested. I have a cold which has gone down into my throat. It is dry, not productive but keeping me awake. I am on lisonopril, 22.5 mgs, frusemide, 40 mgs in the morning and simvastatin, 80 mgs. in the evening. Also calcium tablets, two a day, cocodamol, cod liver oil, and i-tabs. I have been afraid to take anything in case I upset the balance of my treatments.
Hi! starby
Well, lisonopril can cause a cough, but as you have been on it for a long period of time and you have associated the cough with the recent onset of a cold, then we can eliminate lisonopril as the cause.

As it is keeping you awake, then i would suggest Benylin to be taken at night and that will not interact with any of your medication.
Thank you Sqad, that will help me also xx
sibby....a pleasure.
Thanks so much sqad, I knew I could rely on you.
