I think the other one is April Fool. Although ..ichthyic is to do with fish . Perhaps not..only a guess.

Yes looks like April Fool to me as well. Here is the link to fish given by Wikipedia:

In France the person befooled is known as poisson d'avril. This has been explained from the association of ideas arising from the fact that in April the sun quits the zodiacal sign of the fish (pisces).

Thanks shaneystar2 but given you have given me 'strophes' I now have 8d as a?r?l ?e?h I.E. I now have an h on the end and therefore can't be april fool The only reference I can find is to 'the great brontosaurus hoax!

It could be April Fish or Avril Fish as translated from Poisson d'Avril'.....

Thanks shaneystar2 'fish' now fits and I must say I am stuck with both avril and april although if fish is in english surely april must also be! I must say this is probably the most devious of all Gozo's polymaths but excellent an festive challenge.
