The answers are living creatures either singular or plural.
The question is simply:
throne
It is neither peacock nor hornet as they are both correct for other questions. I have pondered this for weeks and can't get a satisfying answer. Any help appreciated.
a monarch sits on a throne-Monarch of the Glen was a stag-there is a royal stag.Saying that there's probably a simpler solution
I thought lion was a feasible suggestion-Lion King. It'll be interesting to see the answer.
frugalfred suggested butterfly,Apparently a "Monarch Butterfly Chair" is a type of camping chair. I agree with you,Stargazer-hornet does seem the obvious answer. We'll just have to wait and see.
jno the answers are cryptic and may be straightforward, anagrams, singular or plural. I think I have about 98 correct out of 100 but some of them are not at all obvious eg. "Shipped to the colonies", Could be several different things.
that's not clever, that's just wrong... the English phrase for disturbing something dangerous is hornets' nest. It's not a mistranslation - the original is actually The Air Castle that Blew Up (says Wiki) - so the translators have deliberately used the English proverbial phrase.
I am about to post the completed quiz. The prize is very small as this quiz is solely for the purpose of raising funds for Alzheimer's sufferers. Each entry form costs £1 to raise the money and prizes are donated by local shops.
