Is it really though? My understanding is that it is a three-year deal, topped up with five one-year rolling contracts, meaning that they certainly wouldn't be paying out eight years wages if they sacked him, but they would get big compensation if somebody poached him.


...............although I suspect the latter isn't very likely at present.
