recode car radio

I have a T reg Ford Fiesta, the battery was taken out and now radio is asking for a code, which I dont have. Can you tell me how to get the code or how to recode it.

Give us the serial number of the unit and I, or someone here, can give you the code for it.

Sorry for being dim (bird) but - where do I get the serial number from, do I have to take the radio out. How do I do that?

Removing is the hassle part. On both sides of the radio you should see two holes, these are for the extraction tools which look like two bits of 3mm wire bent into pointed U shapes. These can be obtained from somehwhere like Halfords for about �3.00, or they may even do it for you if you're cheeky enough. All you do is insert the two tools, all the way in, then pull on them both to extract the unit.
