Personally I am sceptical of payments via a mobile, but using a 'text' ?
Anyone know how the security works on this, for example if the phone is lost or stolen (Often you will not know this for some time). Is PIN involved?

The banks are not admitting that this is a serious threat and so it is the customers fault and the bank does not have to re-imburse the fraud.

Given the amount of malware about especially on Android you'd have to be crazy.
It'd be a matter of days before the first malicious app came out that hijacked your pin and started making texts paying money
And guess what? The banks's would say "Not on your card - it's your problem"
I'll bet the banks are keen on thiis idea!
