.....and if so is it to

1. tell the time
2. as a fashion statement
3. investment

Just listened to a radio programme stating that the sale of watches is down as most young people use their mobile phones for telling the time. People that are buying them are doing so because of 2 and 3 above.

I wear a watch as I very rarely use a mobile phone. It's for telling the time, Although I did get it for half price when our local Jeweller closed down.

I haven't worn a watch for years, simply because I kept on breaking them. I just don't need to check on the time that often, and I've got pretty good at guessing what the time must be. And there's always my phone or a clock somewhere if I really need to know. I reckon that watches just add extra stress to our lives
No.

You can't beat a bit of bright green 2sp :o)

I wear a watch now only for "dress".
I have a bright blue Casio - cheapo - that I always take to Big Sis' for those hours of endless fun called DIY. It is very like me - dustproof, shockproof and waterproof with a loud alarm ;)

I love my bright green watch, mazie. It does look like it fell out of a lucky bag, and is MASSIVE, but I just loved it at first sight.
