Reading another thread and it seem you can see what anyone bought. How can people know what you've bought ? It seems a bit intrusive, what if it's a sex-toy or porn, or something you'd not want anyone to know about? CAn you hide these things?

Hide what you've bought from prying eyes?
Make your feedback private- it's simple:)
Some sellers make listings private (especially "personal" stuff) - in those cases the id of the bidders/buyer cannot be seen on the open listing, and after completion the item is not visible on the buyer's feedback record.

Ah OK,
i am so stupid i have no idea how you can find what anyone has bought. how do you do that?
I know what Anto is referring to.

The person you mean told us exactly what it was she was selling on Ebay, it didn't take long for the AB sleuths to go searching for that particular item on Ebay and put 2 and 2 together.
That concerned me a little too but assumed it was visible becuas the person was a 'seller' as well as a buyer? Is that the case?
@B00 - it wasn't what that person was selling on ebay - someone posted a list of everything 'they' had bought recently, you know who I mean. It surprised me that the info was available.
as i said, it was only available as that particular person was selling items previously which other ABers ferreted out.
So in conclusion - if you are a seller on ebay and don't set your feedback as private anyone can go and look at what you have personally bought?
Well yes, providing they know your username on there.
I just looked at my Ebay feedback and one item is listed as private, so I went to the seller's page to see if I could figure out what it was.... it was 2 pairs of jeans that I bought for my son last week :-/
Why would a seller list jeans as private? lol
I thought maybe things had changed recently, but they haven't.

I have just looked at a random user's feedback and can see every item they have bought over the past few weeks, except for 2 items listed as 'private'. Not hard to work out what the private items were because I can see what the seller has been selling.

This buyer has no connection to me at all - not dealt with her in any way.
Can a buyer set his feedback to private?
I don't care if anyone sees what I've bought on Ebay, it's none of their business, but I still don't care :)

I am very easy to find on Ebay.
I have several eBay accounts I keep for buying. I don't want friends/family to know what I've bought them, or how much I've paid.
