ANN we had a covering yesterday afternoon then it started this morning about 10am . Not stopped but it is coming down light but quite a covering.I am on the Hinckley side of Leics.

When I got up there was about 4" on the ground but nothing coming down, then at about 10 o'clock it started sleeting, now it's snowing quite steadily, Somerset.

Snow on the ground when I got up this morning and been snowing ever since. Probably about 5" of the stuff now (south Hampshire)

I think it was the 2008 that woke me up as well Ann, the house was shaking and I was the only one that did wake up!

Although the epicentre was a little way from us (Market Rasen) we felt it really strongly, all the bedroom cupboard and wardrobe doors flew open, I was still awake at the time. It was the low rumbling noise which started before the shaking which was more scary as it was worse than thunder!

Here on the south coast has been snowing since 8.30, having snowed overnight. Nothing moving in the Close apart from a fox and a squirrel.
Not a footprint in sight.

I hate snow. Went out this morning to get a neighbours shopping am now going to do as little as possible.
