Is there a way you can slightly stretch a pair of new leather shoes?
I've been wandering round house in them to wear them in a bit, does stuffing them with paper help?
The next size up were massive so just got them to hope they will stretch.

If it's across the width of the foot where the big toe is, rubbing the handle of a blunt knife inside might help ease it a little. If you're are lucky enough to have a cobbler or shoe mender near you, some of them have proper stretching gadgets they use to gently stretch the leather.
I recently had the same problem. I went to the Shoe Repair Shop( the type found in Shopping Malls) and asked for them to be stretched. They said they had a spray which did the job better and it certainly did the trick with only a couple of sprays. It is called Shoe Stretcher by a firm called 'PUNCH'. The e-mail address is www.punchindustries.com. Hope this helps.
