Ebay Posting To Italy

is there something wrong with Italy?
It,s not me who wants to post anything but while I have been browsing today to spend some money nearly everything I have looked at says "may not post to Italy"

From personal experience, Italy's postal system is diabolical! I don't know how many parcels we used to send to my Nonna out there that were lost or damaged.

I have no idea, folly - my sales listings don't exclude any part of Europe, but I don't think I've ever actually sold anything to Italy.

I looked in the E-bay community questions after Vodka posted and there were quite a lot of sellers who said they had lost money because the items didn,t arrive and said "never again"
