Have you tried your bank? They would be your best bet. If not, HFC may be (slightly) cheaper than Welcome

Presumably then you have a bad credit record.

You will not get a loan without credit checks except from extremly dodgy sources. The only way is the old "reverse loan". How much can you afford each month? Save it until you have 2k.

eg imagine you borrowed 2k over 3 years at 52%, that's 110.71 per month for 3 years total paid 3985. Now save 110 per month and you'll have 2k in 18 months, half the time and no interest paid. If you use a high interest account then you'll have it even quicker.

Yeah nice point but need cash now.

Whats hfc??

Its a compnay similar to Welcome - try looking in the phone book - if they have a branch in your area it will be listed there.

thanks any others??

It silly to think that someone would lend you money without investingating your credit history, unless its some back alley loan shark. 52% APR just says it all mate, its a joke!

Reverse loan is a great idea, but if you need the money asap, try and sell something....and dont turn to crime.

Alternatively try Lombard Direct, Nationwide Trust but if your credit rating is a bad as you make it, any lender will find out. Another idea would be to takle the "Indecent proposal" approach - go and gamble a small amount of money to make a bigger amount, its a bit "hollywood" but might work!
