Wet Garage Floor

The garage I have at my property would be great if it wasn't for the fact that the previous owner chose to completely flag the patio on top of the existing patio. Thus the outside of the garage is now at least 6 inches higher than the inside. This has created an obvious problem of water drainage which is finding the lowest point(as water does) and is leaving me with a very wet floor and virtually useless garage, well its a workshop really. How can I resolve this wet and damp problem with minimal fuss?

Can you put a low step between garage and patio to divert the water elsehere. Otherwise you will need the cut a short length of the patio for a drain.

Lower the patio or raise the garage floor or put in drainage.

Why not reseal the gap between patio and garage with cement mixed with a water sealant.

Where the floor meets the wall, cut a 100mm channel right through the concrete.
Dig out to around 300mm deep, put in chippings surrounding a length of perforated plastic drainage pipe.
Just make sure there's somewhere for the water to flow when it comes out of the pipe into the garden.
Fill the trench up to the floor level with chips.
