There was a comedy on BBC 2, about 10 years ago...maybe more. It took the form of a "mockumentary" about the CID. I think it was called The Detectives ?
Another clue is that it had a black police character and a small, quite thick younger PC. It was hilarious and I am trying to trace it in the hope that there may be a DVD that I can buy.
No, not the Thin Blue Line BigJack. It was in that pretend documentary style, a bit like The Office. The Inspector was always speaking direct to the camera. I wish I could remember more, as it was very funny.
The whole series appears to be on you tube, so nobody has to fork out any money !
No canned laughter either mojo ! ( I don't remember the original series on the Beeb having canned laughter...perhaps it was added in order to sell it to our American cousins )
Don't know how to put a posh link like Zeuhl, so ::::
