Someone my husband and I used to know has just phoned up and said he had found our details on the internet including our email address. Where could he have found that from - quite scary!

Due to having a seemingly unique name when I put my name into Google all the hits are for me. I'm not wholly comfortable about it but it is what the Internet Age is all about.

Anonymity is a thing of the past.

Marval, I used a wonderful woman who searches for probates etc on people who have died (i think ) and she tracked my recently deceased father, and my half sister and brother and we have spent the last 2 years catching up on all the missed years. It might be worth trying something like that as I had got nowhere on the internet myself ?

An old live-in lover from 41yrs ago suddenly emailed me and as I had fled from him in 1971 and there was no way anyone would know my email addy, I wanted to know how he found it, he wouldn't say, so I have changed it, and yes scary as he was a violent and jealous person. How do they find email addresses?
