I must say that your restraint was commendable on Saturday morning when the challenge words made an unexpected early appearance.
Thanks to 'Emperor Kawakiri', early visitors to the thread had an extra 15 minutes of thinking time - but did they put it to good use or was double-thinking the answers self-defeating?

I can now reveal that the links being sought were:

Firstly a warm welcome to new player Psybbo who came up trumps with a double hit (albeit for just two points.
Unsurprisingly, given the extra thinking time, all four links were found within the first three minutes of play.

Within the bonus window, the following claims were made for two points:

ROCK SALT was favoured by roslyn251254, BigMac and boxtops .

PLAIN SAILING by Strix, boxtops, beejay1124, middlestump and fordward.

CHEESE CAKE by grannydi, middlestump & fordward.

Whilst SILK ROAD only found favour with Aquagility (though seekeerz came close with 'silk route').

Thereafter it was single points only (apart from Psybbo who picked up two of them.


Boxtops, Middlestump and Fordward were each double-hitters and each claimed the maximum 4 points for them so I have a difficulty choosing a hotshot. At the risk of offending the aforementioned, I am going to tack away on a long reach and haul in Aquagility for being the only player all weekend to opt for SILK ROAD.

And just a quick query - I suspect that Psybbo could be our friend sibton if the avatar is anything to go by !!

There was an amnesty on usernames a few days back and there've been a few changes made which may impact on you and I, gen2

I wasn't aware of any name changes seekeerz. What amnesty? Why?
Why would sibton want to change to psybbo? When psybbo played the game her icon was a pussycat. I agree that her current avatar certainly screams 'sibton' (and 'sibton' doesn't exist any more - stranger and stranger).
I suppose I'd better go looking for an explanation.

You and I are not frequenters of Chatterbank, gen2, but I sometimes see what's afoot in that strange land and this amnesty did take place. now why sibton would change to Psybbo only he/she could say but the avatars (it's now Blondie, btw) definitely indicates sibton

I've noticed another strange name/familiar avatar amongst my bunch too, so further investigation is called for ...... Just keeping us on our toes I guess
