I was always taught to never start a sentence with 'and' or 'but'. Does anyone else recall being taught this because I see it everywhere these days in books, newspapers and magazines?

just teasing ael..... is your name tricky to type without looking!
A lot of the things I was taught in school don't seem to matter now. As for spelling textspeke seems to have put the mockers on that. I even find myself wanting to spell might as mite and put u for you and 4 instead of for, well you know, I could go on and on, (as usual) but I had better stop.
see your point dt, tricky to type but easy to remember because it's alphabetical
