My electricity bill has gone down this quarter. I haven't used my tumble dryer since Christmas. I do miss using it but it was well worth it.

It was considerably less than the last bills,but have just been quoted £2,000 for the car to be done so swings and roundabouts.
£2000 giveup, whats happened to the car ?.

something to do with the starter motor. Its a 5 year old Focus. diesel engine.
(TDX CDI) I think . I dont drive but my husband is back soon so it has to be done for when he gets home. I know last time he was home he looked up whatever it was and the part alone was £800.
Sounds more likely to be the fuel pump at that sort of price giveup.

I don't know,but I think flywheel was mentioned. We were going to change it this year but we'll have to keep it for a bit longer now.

Glad you do. Of course theres 20% VAT. My husband is a Marine Engineer so he did know what they were talking about but its left to me to get it sorted.
Is there no chance that he does the job himself and save a load of dosh ?.

He's never done his cars,doesn't like doing it,and when he's home we need it (That means I need a chauffeur)
I'd volunteer to chauffeur you while your car is off the road but I have a feeling that you probably live some distance from me.

We are using the garage we've always used,they are very good,best in the area. I think the £2000 is the worst case scenario but we have to be prepared.
