Criminal Transportation.

Im doing a A-level study on the transportation system of Criminals being transported from Cells to court.

Was wondering if anyone could give me some pointers?

Anyone know what the company that runs the transport in the UK is?

Anyone know what the manufacture of the vans are?

Any other knowledge on this subject would be greatly appreciated

Group 4 do a lot of the moving of prisoners from courts to the prisons.

Several of the companies are listed here. http://www.irr.org.uk/2003/january/ha000015.html Although the site is really about immigration, the same companies currently have courts contracts. To ensure that the list is complete, you would really need to contact each court office, so you may wish to concentrate on a particular area. The individual companies may be helpful and allow you to interview their relevant manager when they know the reason for your request.

Down this neck of the woods its PPSL they have white vans not quite sure on the make but have the blacked out tiny windows at the back some times with a few egg shells stuck on the window too. lol

transport is usually a white van, two guards, the perp and a white towel over his or her face

just thought you might like to know that the prison slang for these are meat wagons or sweat boxes due to the crammped condions inside!
