If you think that you might need to claim Jobseeeker's Allowance, you should know that there are two types.
People who've got a recent full history of National Insurance contributions can get Contribution-Based JSA for up to 6 months,which is NOT means-tested.
Other people (such as yourself, if you've not been paying UK NICs) can apply for Income-Based JSA but that IS means tested. That means that the amount payable is reduced (on a sliding scale) if you've got any substantial savings, going down to nil if your savings are over a certain amount. [I won't quote figures because they might have changed since I last saw them; the calculator in my link will show their effect]. Further, since the means-testing is based upon household income, rather than solely upon the income of the applicant, you'll get nothing if you've got a partner in full-time employment.
