For more on marking an answer as the "Best Answer", please visit our FAQ.I really wouldn't put dubbin on suede, it will cause the fibres to mat up and look pretty manky, if you do try it then have a go on an inconspicuous bit first. Dubbin is great for smooth leathers though.
Best results I have had with stiff suede is just to sit there, watching TV maybe, and rolling it back and forth through your hands.
