Put it on the plate that you're going to eat from and cover with a plate cover.I got one from a kitchen ware shop for about �1. Make sure it is covered though or you'll have exploding rice all over the inside of the microwave. Cook on maximum for about 4 mins (800w) or 5 mins (650w). you shouldn't need to add any extra liquid as the cover will retain the moisture. Be aware that the plate will be very hot! ..... happy eating

I cant see / dont really understand the problem. Assuming it doesnt have meat that was on the turn in it, hasnt been left out for ages in a dodgy environment etc there's no problem. Add some water to the saucepan to help the consistency and make sure it's hot though. Add some chopped herbs and lightly season it again to revitalize the flavours. If you've added cream previously then dont boil it as it might split and you'll get a cream volcano!
I regularly eat food that i've left on the stove overnight and there's no problem. If you've got a week imune system then you shouldnt.
