Paint Repair on Car wing has "bloomed" how can I fix ?
I started off with just a gouge in the wing. Filled with plastic padding and wet and dryed. Masked off the whole wing and used two large aerosols of non metallic red car paint. It looked great when I finished it for about 5 minutes then the whole lot took on a milky appearance (bloom ?)..
Someone said I should not have done it in this extreme humidity this evening.
How can I sort it ?

1 was the cloth clean and not contaminated?
2 the cellulose thinners probably have reacted to old paint
3 and no this is ideal weather to paint cars outdoors
4 how long did you leave it before coats 3 to 5 mins is good
5 did you shake the can ?
6 i think you put it on too quickly so the under lying paint and primer never cured it should be tacky to touch maybe even dry. thats why its gone white, like you painted it with a frost in the air.
do it again......
use 1200 wet and dry then degrease with proper degreaser mask again and build the coats of paint up evenly , you will never get a good finish on the first coat.but keep it even and wet.
you idealy want a fan pattern like this () for even coats with the paint and not a 0 circle.
hope this helps :)
