I am running a micro brewery and am having difficulty finding a source of crushed malted barley in the weight range of 100Kg to 500Kg. Can anyone suggest where I might go to purchase said quantities. Most of the big maltings seem only interested in the one tonne and above. The home brew suppliers are too expensive.

You may have tried Tuckers Maltings already, but I asked on a visit if they would supply home brewers and they seemed quite happy to. So should be good for you. Give them a bell. Tuckers Maltings, Teign Road, Newton Abbot, Devon TQ12 4AA Tel: 01626 334734 Fax: 01626 330153 E-mail:[email protected]

Thanks Enzo, I'll try them.
Have you thought of crushing your own malt ? the book "Woodwork for Winemakers", shows a relatively simple malt crusher.
