Just heard that Barbara Streisand is doing a one off concert at the O2 London.
What a fabulous oppertunity to see her and hear her Fab voice.

Just one snag the price of a ticket is "£475" in these days of tightening our belts who can afford that? but I'll bet it will be a full house...

Will you be there? Can YOU afford it?

I couldn't justify paying that much to go and see *anyone*.

However, I have no doubt that the show will be a sell-out.
Last gig I went to we paid £170 for two tickets. I'd happily pay up to £100 to see a band I am really into. Above that I'd have to seriously think about it.
£475? What a cheek to ask those kind of prices. It would serve her right if nobody turned up.
Although a Barbra (note correct spelling, although she was Barbara until age 18) Streisand fan, I wouldn't pay anything like that to "hear her Fab voice" when I can do that anytime on my hi-fi (which cost less than £475 anyway). My ear is insufficiently sensitive to notice the difference, and my tinnitus wouldn't take a break anyway, so it would be money down the drain.
me too
I don't believe that she personally sets the prices - it will be a whole host of things to be taken into consideration when coming up with that price.
Sorry wrong thread.
I could afford it but as much as I love Streisand I think it would be pushing it a bit. On top of that for me would be about £150 train fare, and about £170 for a reasonable hotel for the night.
I'd rather go to Majorca for a week.
The show would eventually be shown on the TV anyway.
