I more or less "dry" fry on my pans with the result they don't last long - maybe a year or so - I am happy with that - I only put a little oil when I fry my egg. Anybody recommend a sturdy pan to cope with my dry frying - Thank you.
Tefal. I dry fry and my husband cooks bacon in it on a high heat, which tends to leave burnt bits in the pan. However, a wipe over with a piece of kitchen roll soon gets it clean. Marvellous.
Tefal are great. I've always splashed out on frying pans and woks, wrongly presuming they'd have a better lifespan. I purchased Tefal last time, the frying pan was only £14 or £18, but it has been brilliant! Think I'll be buying Tefal from now on, oh, and so easy to clean
We dry fry nearly all the time, with a swish of olive oil - we've no trouble with bits burning off the pan, so I'm surprised what you say. Get a good quality pan with a heavy base, with a non-stick interior. We never wash our pan, just rub it thoroughly with kitchen paper.
My problem is not bits burning off the pan, it's the bacon, which OH insists on cooking on a high setting. I have a Tefal frying pan and wok and wouldn't use anything else.
