Massive Sharp Pain...
50 Answers
Just had a really sharp pain, below my belly button and on my right.
It was really painful and I had a wave of nausea either it. Its still hurting, but more a constant lighter pain. Just taken two paracetamol and on the sofa afraid to move.
Any ideas?
(am on my phone so replying isn't quick sorry)

I feel your pain with the fibre drinks. I wouldn't eat anything as a kid and was forced to drink those things. They are vile! The sight of a sachet makes me feel sick.

Thanks for the further responses. It got really bad last night and I had that sharp pain again to the side of my belly button, the weird spasm things, and an almost burning sensation around the middle of my stomach.
I've got a doctors appointment this afternoon, with my own doctor, so we'll see what he says.
Thanks again :-)

Just a quick update: Went to the docs and saw my own GP - at last!
He said he can see why I've been concerned as my abdomen does feel very swollen and appears to be protruding. He had a good feel and said he thinks there could be a 'mass' in my bowel, which would be from the fact I only go to the toilet once a week! He has referred me to the hospital for an ultrasound (he said scan, I'm just assuming it's ultrasound) and has told me to stop drinking the fibre drinks - which don't seem to be doing anything anyway.
He said it's unlikely to be IBS as he'd expect bowel movements more often.
No idea how long it will take to get an appointment. He said he would "make it a priority" - although he also said I shouldn't worry..? :-/
Can't think of anything else he said, that would be of importance, but all in all I feel much less anxious than I have been.

too much fibre can make you constipated too, avoid bread pasta and cakes, biscuits ect for a week, eat small amount of rice if you need carbs, stay away from potato and see how how go. you also sound very constipated those symptons are very likely that your intestines are bunged up. try a glass of prune juice twice daily, if you cant bear laxatives which arent good long term. massage your stomach in light circular motions stroking from right to left to help your system get moving, and try light excerise which should also help your digestive and poo systems get moving
