It's been on two or three times a week lately, why? Not everyone is interested.

suggest that most tv is crap, that it's mindless, boring and indeed a reason to listen to some music. as to the football, waste of time, as to the tennis, 2 weeks out of 52, hardly overwhelming is it.

Too many cookery programmes on TV.
Too many Escape to the Country/Escape Overseas where they never end up moving anyway.
Too many talent shows.
Too many guest shows featuring lewd comedians such as Jonathon Ross and Alan Carr and guests plugging something.
Too many auction/car boot programmes.
Too many programmes about people having babies or operations in hospital.

But mrs factor likes a lot of these and if it's a programme one of us doesn't want to watch we find plenty of other programmes to watch or radio shows to listen to or Answerbank.

And if there's nothing we want to watch we find other things to do like talking or cooking or doing other things around the house, or we go for a walk/run.

I think we have plenty of choice.

"Too many Escape to the Country/Escape Overseas where they never end up moving anyway."

Ha! If for some reason we ever end up watching these we always have a little bet on if they will buy the house. We always win because we always say no.
They will change any programme for footie. Drives me mad.
There will be lots of Maggie to moan about for the next few days - and no doubt beyond.
We don't watch cookery, soaps, sport or property progs, yet we still find plenty to watch.
ITV have ITV1,ITV2,ITV3,ITV4. Why don't the planners devote ITV3 channel for footie & all other sports, ITV1 for soaps & ITV2 & 4 for all the rest of their schedules ?.

WR.
It's the most popular team sport and a huge earner for the TV companies. Financially, its popularity cannot be ignored. I don't particularly like golf, horse racing or tennis so, when they are being televised, I simply watch another of a host of channels.

The power to watch what you want is within your remote control.
A lot of people are not interested. The sport gets far too much coverage, and the ony time you see any policemen nowadays is when hundreds turn up for football matches.
I agree whole heartedly,as does O/H who hates football with a vengance,it's not been 1 match either has it?!
Tell me about it. I despise football.
give over - its the Masters now.

All better than constant repeats, game shows, cooking & DIY - oh and rubbishy soaps
I always say that I never watch daytime TV. However, I'm sad enough to watch Escape To The Country on iplayer :-(
Yes, I watch the football so that I will recognise a police uniform when I see one.
Footie over soaps any day.
ITV hardly showed any football between July and March. The reason for the matches in the last 2 months has been important World Cup qualifiers for England and the knockout stages of the European club tournaments, and this weekend the FA cup semi finals. There will be a few more games over the next 6 weeks but then that should be more or less it for many months. I bet X factor and BGT get more airtime on ITV over a year than does live football.
Anyway, they only show it because more people normally watch it than watch a repeat of Escape to the Country
