Do any of you take regular daily vitamins, if so what do you take and do you feel that you benefit from them ? I've just began taking multi vits and iron, and glucosamine. I feel I am benefiting from the iron as less tired and more energy.

About the only vitamin supplement I might seriously consider taking might be Vitamin D during autumn/winter if I lived up North, but provided you have a diet that is only on nodding acquintance with a recommended diet, you are probably getting enough vitamins.
For those who have an underlying medical condition. or a poor nutrition it might be worth taking it.
You may feel more energised taking multivitamins because of a placebo effect, poppie - If you genuinely are getting a clinical benefit from the iron, that might indicate an underlying anaemia, which might be worth checking out...

I am currently taking part in a Omega 3 project. I had to do loads of physical and mental tests and will do more in July and lastly in October. Supposed to help with things like bone density and mental agility. They already found I have the bone density of someone 30 years younger than I am, but dont know why that is.
Not usually, occasionally iron though I'm on folic acid due to medication I'm on (else wouldn't be taking it) and have on vitamin D therapy on and off as I seem to have a recurring deficiency. I had a malabsorption condition which may be why.
Oh and sometimes vitamin C when I can feel a cold coming on (desperate measures probably haha!).

society, that's well and good when you have your entire stomach left in your body. 85% of my stomach was removed as part of weightloss surgery, therefore I can't get enough good wholesome food inside me. I eat less than a toddler lol I will have to take a multivitamin every day for the rest of my life. Pre-surgery I would have agreed with you, but my blood results confirm the vitamins help me.
