Yoku Straightening Treatment

Hey - has anyone ever tried this? I'm wondering if it'll work on my fairly frizzy, curly/wavy damaged caucasian hair. Info/advice from anyone with any experience of this sort of straightening treatment would be greatly appreciated x

havnt tried the yoku treatment but have had my hair straightened in a salon with a reverse perm hair is not poker straight but only takes ten mins instead of an hour to straighten. your hair sounds like mine i definatly recommend it and unlike yoku which is expensive the treatment i had was �30.

yoku will make it poker straight but I think you need to think about damging your hair any further. Hace you tried intensive regular treatments and lots of good regular hair cuts. I myself also have very curly hair which if i dint do these things would go frizzy. For a change i also invested in some good wide paddle ghd hair straighteners. I genuinely do have lo0vely hair but perming (which is what yoku is) is not the answer.

Hi Yellow duck. I think i can say I have exactly your hair type and I was practically pulling it out in stress every day not being able to do anything with it (apart from scrape it into a dodgy pony tail) Had my first Yuko perm last year and it was the most amazing thing ever! The condition of my hair improved greatly and for weeks all I had to do was wash it and leave it and it would be perfect, after a few months you need to start styling it again but that just involves blow drying to straighten the roots. I wanted to have my roots redone after 5 months as they were starting to groww back curly - which does looks a little odd. Tragically for me I went to a different stylist and they did not use a strong enough solution and they also got solution on one part of my hair which did not need it. The result was semi straight/ wavy hair which was a nightmare ( could luckily still style it but it took ages.) I went back to my old stylist last week to see if she could fix it and it worked out very well although she had to reperm most of it which damaged it a lot. Im now using plently of intensive conditionerss and its looking pretty good. Anyway. To cut a very long story short, I'm in Japan and I can get this perm for �70 (I get it for �10 cos my friend is a hairdresser!) well, I heard it costs �300 or more in the UK or states so thats definetly a bad thing and Im not sure if the stylists have much experience (here theyve been doing this for years). One more point, loopyc mentioned a relaxer ( I think) and I had this done many years ago and the result was very nasty, the straight lasted about 3 days and it frazzled it. Had this treatment a couple of years and would sell a kidney to get it done again!

I had it done on holiday in Malaysia and it only cost �60 and now I can't afford the prices over here.
As for damaging your hair, it obviously is as are most of these treatments, but when I had it done, you honestly couldn't tell - my hair was the softest, shiniest and most manageable ( I know I sound like an advert!) it's ever been
