Have just watched The Suspicions of Mr Whicher. Has the makings of a very good series.

has that not been on a couple of years ago?
Anything with Olivia Coleman in it should be good.
Actress de jour.
Yes it is good, it was on before when he worked for the police.
Is this a series or a one-off? I quite enjoyed it...very atmospheric.
I put it on but it appeared to me to be a in the middle of a series, so I switched over and watched Man v Food instead. I could have eaten the cheese toastie tower.
It seems to be a one off.
Recorded it.
Like many other 2 hour programmes, it could have been cut to 1 1/2 hours, I found myself mentally switching off and missing a bit that was important.
SPOILER I thought the plot was too complicated. Not sure why Thomas killed his brother. And why was the policeman mixed up in it?
the first one was actually a true story; Whicher was one of the first detectives. Tonight's one was invented.
I very much enjoyed it. Hope for more. Nice to see Pete Posthelwaites' son on tv, too
Can't comment as I find these progs go on for far too long so didn't watch it. Make them one hour I will watch, any longer. BOOOOOORING.
Lynbrown, I am with you on this one, I lost the plot of the killing of the brother and the cop involved. I did guess that the murdered girl was not her niece but daughter.
Enjoyed the one last year and enjoyed last night too! especially with Olivia Coleman. More please. Paddy Considine is a local boy and we watch anything he's in!
