Anyone watch the Baftas hosted by Graham Norton, recognised only a few shows nominated thought I was on a different planet and I do watch a lot of TV, who or what is Hunderby. Alan Carr got a Bafta for his show. Gone are the days when there were great shows on Telly.

I agree about Forsyth, he really annoys me and should retire. Also agree about David Neilson - great actor!

So pleased that Last Tango in Halifax won an award.

I think Neilson has long been acknowledged as creating a gem of a character in Roy. Brilliant, probably the best bit of acting in any soap??

Is it insecurity that these people have to give each other awards for basically doing their well paid jobs? Can you imagine if this was extended to everyday life?
The man who sweeps the workshop floor has just completed the twentieth pass and was presented with a trophy by his boss. The sweeper thanked his parents and the people who made the broom, saying his work was made so much easier due to their skills. He concluded by thanking everybody who dropped things so that he could continue giving pleasure, and then burst into tears.

The fact that Eastenders wins these awards only goes to show how poor the other programmes in the same category are.

Personally I prefer Emmerdale, but at the moment their storylines are scraping the bottom of the barrel.

Lots of industries have annual awards - granted most aren't televised (regional business awards sometimes are) but then there is probably more interest generally in BAFTA winners than in 'Best Use of Cookies' at the Online Marketing Awards
