Sign Up Lightbox Stats

We have recently added this feature to the site:

This is a small lightbox which appears to non logged in users on the second page they visit of the site.

We said we'd come back to a few of you with some stats as to whether it has worked.

Here's a graph of the number of sign-ups from the 15th April to today:

As you can see sign ups have increased a great deal.

Someone asked if it was staying. The answer is: Yes, for now. We need to see what the graph looks like after a few weeks to see if we're turning away those who didn't sign up in the first wave. But we'll get to that later.

In the short term we've got a load of new members on the way :)

Excellent. Do the ads "show through" the grey on yours, as if they were "on top"?

Yes - quite solid in some cases (I think where they overlap the edges) - hence the missing X

Saturday & Sunday mornings.

While it might seem like there was a massive influx of nasty users they're really got nothing on the Q&P lot in terms of volume!

While I like a bank hol, they're not always good for us - especially if the sun is shining! For our traffic numbers to go up everyone needs to be snowed it :)

We always get a spike between Saturday-Monday because of the quizzers.
