Time to pat ourselves on the back, or is this reader's rather cynic view on the matter more nearer the truth?

/// Nah they're just still telling the truth and haven't gone under the forced multiculturalism indoctrination that we have ///

i like Schubert, lieder and all...
please explain to me, why on earth did UK allegedly do so well in the elections across England and Wales if the 'UK' are amongst the least racist countries in the world?

Just asking.
do you mean UKIP, because immigration is not the only thing they are on about, and Farage tells people what they want to hear, some don't take any notice, but he is popular in some quarters, and in reality the turnout was quite low...
Possibly, alba, it was because the Local elections are mainly seen as protest votes. With the traditional protest party the LibDems now in government, people had to switch to another one. and UKIP just got it. I don't think we'll see them do well in General Elections, which are often taken far more seriously.
they may do better than the main parties expect, wait and see...
Yes indeed em -- we'll wait and see. UKIP has a chance to show that they are a serious party in the next two years.
dratted keyboard and eager fingers, I did mean Ukip. thank you.

Farage didn't get a warm welcome in Edinburgh and was accused of racism by the students.

Jim, thank you.
I seem to recall Mr Cameron saying 'we are going to listen to the electorate'
A bit late imo.
thing is Cameron made jokes, remarks at their expense and now he has egg on his face, and is having to back peddle because of it, he hasn't listened to members of his own party for one thing, they have been telling him that the EU is a big deal and indeed immigration, for some reason he has been hiding his light under a bushel, and now is time to pay the piper. I honestly can't see a coalition of Tory/Lib Dems next time round, though i really don't want Labour in, but i can see it happening by dint of a poor showing by the coalition, unless of course there is some miracle between now and 2015.
makes me laugh about that comment on racism, has anyone listened to how some Scots perceive the English, not to mention their constant barrage of abuse over the old firm, Catholic v Protestant is still alive and kicking believe me..
I would hazard a guess it's more to do with culture and upbringing rather than race. You can get some pretty unsavoury people in all races and bad upbringing can cause hellish problems IMO for anyone having to endure the antics of those who don't give a damn for anyone but themselves. To hate people because of their colour is ridiculous, I can never "get" that one.
i would agree with that, culture more like, a difference in how one was brought up
