Is it right to allow these 'paid' foreign employees of the UK, the right to reside in this country?
It is said they will receive free travel to the UK and accommodation paid for their first three months.
Who will be paying after those three months expire? I think you have got it in one.

/// I'd put it to you that there's a significant difference between Islamic thugs who are born here, and are born into speaking English, and people who risk their lives and their safety to learn English, and then go on to risk their lives in fighting the taliban. ///
Except for the fact that they are not fighting the Taliban, they are mostly desk bound safe in Camp Bastion, with just a few who escort our foot patrols , so as to translate between patrol leaders and the Elders of the villages,

/// Aog, you speculated that these men would be in danger in this country. Now you speculate that some may present a danger to the country. What is the evidence to justify these speculations? ///
The answer to that is in the word 'speculate' not knowing them or the Taliban sympathisers personally, I can only speculate, but it could happen both ways, are you prepared to say "that it is impossible"?

Another extraordinary insult to our armed forces from aog
So British service people who are based at Camp Bastion are 'not fighting the taliban'
apparently, only those who go on patrols are 'Heroes' the rest are; what?
and having done so, are their lives now not at risk if they stayed on post-withdrawl

If you're going to weigh into arguments like this, you should really be better informed.
As Octavius has said, 26 have been killed. According to your own link, Mohammad Rafi Hottak was tortured, and the Taliban have promised to kill any they can get their hands on.

@ AoG And you have offered nothing to suggest your opinion about why we are in Afghanistan is informed by, well anything beyond penny pinching and a suspicion of foreigners really.
Our decade of putting our servicemen on the line and our tax money to fund the bill has been nothing more than a foreign military adventure that has cost billions to the taxpayer, and more importantly, the lives of hunderds of servicemen and thousands of afghans. And to what end? We seem to be withdrawing with the job half done, not having had a proper exit strategy in the first place.
And these translators, high value assets, you wish to leave behind to take their chances! At least the MoD recognise their value, as do soldiers who have served over there. You have no argument beyond penny-pinching and some waffle about there being a higher risk to their safety in the UK, or that they just sat around on their backsides in Camp Bastion all day.
The very idea that we just abandon them stinks. It should be viewed as an indidental cost of the campaign. You are going to have to get used to it, but isn't it great that you have AB as an outlet for your concerns?

aog, that they are in great danger there has been demonstrated by your own link. I ask again whether your speculation that they might be in danger here was meant to be an argument against them coming here. If it wasn't, what was the point in your saying it?
As to your second speculation, whether they will suddenly turn against us when here: these are people who have been helping us there, against the Taliban, and thus have been instrumental in our efforts to protect locals against them. Further, their efforts have been instrumental in getting the Taliban killed; interpreting is not mere translation of friendly chat, but is part of understanding what information locals can give about enemy activity and in knowing what the Taliban themselves are saying. Now, you expect us to believe that all this assistance is from people who love the Taliban and their jihadism and who will therefore try to kill us when they are brought here. That logic of yours escapes me.Therefore I ask what evidence you have for that idea.
