Mr M has just been for a walk in the West Sussex countryside, near Chichester and saw a crop growing that he wasn't able to identify. Any one any ideas pse from the following description; about 12 ins high, thick green stalk, alternate upright green leaves that were thick and leathery looking, with a gap on the stalk between the leaf bunches and they are rugby ball shaped! They were planted a good couple of feet apart which to me indicates that they are going to grow much bigger. Sorry the description is a bit odd but I'm working from a photo he took on his mobile from about 50 yards distance!! I'm presuming it's edible.
