How many words are there in the English language that you would expect to be 2 or more words but their actual one.
Eg. Moreover, albeit, nevertheless, afforesaid/afforementioned, I have thought of more but cant remember them right now. Thanks.
If you're including 'portmanteau' words - such as 'smog', a combination of 'smoke' and 'fog' or 'brunch', a combination of 'breakfast' and 'lunch' - you'll find some by clicking http://www.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_portmanteaus
A Google-search using 'portmanteau words' will throw up lots of other appropriate sites.
There's loads of them beginning with 'here'. Hereto, hereinafter, hereby, hereof, heretofore. Furthermore (aha) there are the ones beginning with 'there' - therein, thereby, thereafter etc.
