I've almost finished, but the last couple of clues have been holding me up for a while.
15 D. Prayer beads made from bones bishop held in hospital (6) t?s??y
(Am not 100% sure of the 's' or'y' sorry).

Wordplay in these clues leads to the answer with an extra letter not entered in the grid.

Thanks That's what I originally thought (though I couldn't work in the 'hospital' bit) but my 't' really seems correct (in an across answer). I'll have another look at that.

I came up with 'shote' - a piglet. It's 'short' for 'brief' with the 'e' from the end of 'cute' The 'r' in 'short' is the extra letter.
