Moulting Dog
I know this sounds daft but is there a hair spray for dogs to stop them moulting? I have a border collie who moults constantly and I am forever hoovering, I brush him daily to try and minimise this but it just seems to stimulate more loss.
Any infor will be greatly appreciated.
TIA

As PP said in the first reply theres not a lot you can do. Max, my avatar was a long haired GSD and when ever we went for a good walk, at least twice a day, I'd have his brush with me and he'd get a good grooming outside were the birds and other animals could recycle his hair and we still had to hoover up a couple of times a day. Trish often says she misses having to to change the hoover bag every other day.
You read my mind cazzrob, I was going to post something similar about moulting dogs although I wanted advice about the stink around the house that it causes. My dog finished moulting about a month ago and now he's started again, it's driving me round the twist, we have a furminator but that's as much use as a chocolate teapot on his fur, if I try to hoover him he attacks the nozzle.
To top it off, he makes a beeline for anyone wearing black

I have five Rough Collies, they lose hair all the time, but it is certainly not excessive, and I only brush them once a week. My male only blow their coat once a year, and the bitches four or five months after their season. If he is excessively moulting, bath him, get all the old loose coat out (it may take two baths), and give him a coat supplement ie: Yumega Dog.
