Been toying with the idea for a while..... you know, online dating. But even my eldest son has said I should give it a go. (think he is sick of me sitting around everynight) I am very wary, as being a lone parent (yeah single mum) Divorced. I tend to think all men think of us as easy lay, or desperate..... I am neither.

God I am waffling. So basically, what I am asking is.

1. Can anyone recommend a good site
2. Has anyone met someone from a online site (and got a happy ending?)

I am mainly just looking for a bit of adult company, go for a drink, see a film, and see how we get on sort of thing.

You know.

Thanks :-)

i hate having my picture taken as well but thats cos i always look bad in them, plus im a big lad so i dont look that good.

pictures are important for online dating but i just saw it as if they laugh or just ignor you then they aint worth knowing anyway, your better than that, so just forget it and keep looking. there are some nice people online and you will meet some nice people even if its only to talk to.

i meet my girlfriend on a site called singlesnet but i wouldnt recommend it as there are a lot of people that just send the same message as other people and just try to use you.

match.com or loopylove are quite good but both cost
petal ya flirt
Petal - the way I see this is - if people judge you by looks alone, then they're not worth knowing anyway. I'm sure you look just lovely, so if you fancy putting a pic of yourself up - do it! xx
DPSA, you look good to your girlfriend and thats what counts. If you are both happy then thats all that matters.

DPSA. aw you sound a nice bloke. Glad you had some luck with the dating site. Good luck to you.

If I ever pluck up the courage, I will go with a site you pay a fee.

But it may be a while. Thanks for your reply

Legend moi.... a flirt! lol

you do have nice legs btw.

Hiya Ice, I am OK looking. Bez has seen an old pic of me, so she will be kind and say I am not that bad. just hate having my picture taken. Honest. Plus I am lazy lol xx
Well I think to some extent, most people'd be shy about posting a pic of themselves for the world to see. I only put one on my avatar because my husband told me not to!!!!
Don't know how guys see the problem, but I don't go for "obviously handsome" men anyway.
I think photos can mislead, and although a hideous-looking person might not make you want to get to know them better, neither would i take a second look at someone who appeared to be drop dead gorgeous (unless it was my heart-throb of course!!).
Question Author
me too ice, I tend to go for the blokes who (later on) I hasten to add, friends and family tell me, was ugly!

But a man with a sense of humour is what I really like. Looks are unimportant to me. It really is personality I go for.
Hey - there are freaks on EVERY site! My mate met her man on plentyoffish (both in their 40s) - they're happily planning their wedding and neither of them are remotely freaky!

Good luck with whatever you do!
I recommend this adult dating site http://x-sex-dating.com
