Microsoft Money

I have a number of back ups of a money file but they all indicate they're in 2004 format. Lost 2004 disk and my 2005 won't open them, any idea's

I thought Money was backward compatiable.

Have you tried copying one of your backups onto the HDD first and then opening it? Most microsoft products (Word and Excel for example), as part of the file opening process, attempt to write a hidden temporary copy of the file in the same folder - and fail to open if they cant write the copy.
