If you are within striking distance of Rutland do have a day out to see the ospreys.
We had a lovely day there yesterday with some great views of the parents and chicks and there will be a ranger in the hide only to happy to help and share information. x

Paddy.....Postcode is LE15 8BT. No need to book but google Rutland Water to see all the options for a visit there.
I think the charge is about £5 but could be wrong as a very nice man paid for me last time I was there.

Jaysus, the mother is ripping a big fish to pieces and feeding those massive chicks with it.

Tony, watching the male catch a fish and carry it to the nest for mum to feed the chicks is wonderful...better than..................lots of things...;-) x

It's about an hours run gness, so we'll make a day of it when we go see the ospreys, have a general look around then find a nice pub for a meal before heading home.

Paddy, you'll easily fill a day there. I can't for the life of me remember the pub to avoid but I will post when I do....there are plenty of nice ones though. enjoy! x
