Pending our rapidly approaching holiday, I've called a local pet sitting agency. She will charge £8 per visit to look after 4 cats and 3 chickens. I think that's a bargain and would have her 2x a day. Mr BM thinks that is very expensive and is suggesting we either put the cats in the cattery and send the chooks to my dads (not keen on that, due to the fact that they have LOTS of foxes and it will really unsettle the girls) OR we get his mate to look after them (not keen on that the bugger will forget once he gets on the golf course). I don't want to impose on our neighbour for 10 days.
Someone give me some arguments to throw at him (apart from the fact that I am paying for it, and I want the peace of mind).
I'm just going to book her and sod him. I'm the one that pays for it, I'm the one that worries about it, I'm the one that has to sort out the resultant crap.
CHuck £100 per night is a bit pricy, love (although were I to be here, I am sure the "extras" would be worth it).
My fridge is buggered so you're knackered on the beer and food part.
Seriously - both my fridges decided to die on the same day. Bastards. And Mr BM wonders why I am saying "I wish I hadn't sold my house because EVERTHING WORKED THERE".
Well we probably won't be going anywhere. Maggie Moo Moo chicken is poorly. I thought she was getting better but I just found her in the bottom of the henhouse - she cant get up into the coop. :(
I would never use a kennel again as I know my dog broke his heart - it will be with a lady in her house - even as I was entering the kennel - my dog braked and braked and it broke my heart too sad sad (((
I'd be amazed if you could get 4 cats in a cattery for £16 a day - and they always charge for the start and end days too, so it all adds up to more than the pet sitter.
